These are two distinct cards from Twilight Masquerade. Hisuian is part of the Pokemon's printed name, and 220 matters when searching for Perrin: a different Perrin printing can have the same gameplay effect without this illustration.

The reflection in Perrin's camera

Look inside the camera lens on Perrin 220. Growlithe's face appears in the reflection, including the open mouth. On Hisuian Growlithe 181, the view faces down toward the same Pokemon, with shoes and trouser legs at the sides of the picture.

The shared green-and-gold woodland colors and opposite camera viewpoints are the details to compare. Both cards credit GIDORA, whose name is printed near the lower-left edge.

Reading them as two perspectives on the photography scene is our interpretation of these visible details. It does not mean the outside edges join into a single continuous panorama. The relationship is between photographer and subject, so give yourself enough space to see both complete pictures.

Should Perrin go above Growlithe?

The gallery stacks Perrin above Growlithe as a convenient viewing arrangement. It is not a mandatory puzzle order. A side-by-side display also works because the connection comes from the viewpoints and reflection, rather than a landscape running through a shared seam.

If you want a pair with a more direct vertical composition, compare Spidops ex 243 and Tarountula 199. Distinguishing these different relationships makes it easier to plan a binder page without forcing unrelated card edges to align.

Different rarities, the same artist

Perrin 220 has two gold rarity stars, identifying a Special Illustration Rare. Hisuian Growlithe 181 has one gold star, identifying an Illustration Rare. These categories follow the Scarlet & Violet rarity system; both cards being illustrated by GIDORA does not give them the same rarity.

Their numbers are above the set's printed total of 167. Keep the named rarity and full collector number when recording them, rather than labeling both only “secret rare.” The rarity reference explains why numbering, artwork and rarity are separate attributes.

A practical checklist for the pair

  • Search for Perrin 220/167 and Hisuian Growlithe 181/167.
  • Match TWM, the GIDORA credit and the actual picture on each card.
  • Check language and condition separately; an attractive pair photograph may not show corner or surface wear.
  • Confirm whether the listing includes both cards, one chosen card or only a display accessory.
  • Compare raw and graded examples separately. For graded copies, also match the grading company and numeric grade.

Open the linked card pages or the price checker for available references. Calculate the delivered cost of buying both, including shipping, before comparing it with a lot. An artwork connection alone does not establish a premium or make one card's price predict the other's.
